A Wonderful Easter Liturgy

Well done for your fantastic performance today. It was a truly special and moving recreation of the Easter Liturgy. The readers were clear and confident, the acting was sensitive and believable and the singing was incredibly beautiful. Well done! We are all very proud of you.

Tomorrow is the last day of term- we will have our CARE awards assembly! Remember to bring in a carrier bag and if you haven't yet spoken to your French penpal on Skype you need to be in at 8:30am tomorrow morning. You can all bring in a small toy tomorrow- nothing electronic, battery operated or valuable please! School will close at 2pm tomorrow!

The Selfish Giant

Our production of The Selfish Giant will be performed on Tuesday at 9:30am for the school and at 7:00pm for your families and friends.

Remember that on Tuesday you will need to arrive at school between 6:15 and 6:30pm, in time to get changed and ready for the performance at 7:00pm. Make sure that you have something to eat before returning to school. Your parents, carers and families will go straight to the hall to get their seats and you will come into class.

We are all very excited- the rehearsals have been going brilliantly and we are sure that the play is going to be a huge success.

Costumes and Props!

It is nearly time to perform our Easter play! Our production of The Selfish Giant will be performed on Tuesday 24th March at 7:00pm.

Tomorrow you will each receive a letter about your costume. You will need to bring your costume into school, in a named bag, by next Tuesday (17th March).

 We still need lots more shoe boxes! If you have any, please bring them in asap. Thank you!

The Selfish Giant

Today, we held the auditions for our Easter Play! We were blown away by the talent we saw today- everyone put in so much effort and performed wonderfully! Well done. At the end of the day today, we told you which part you would be playing and handed out the scripts.

Over half term, we would like you to learn your lines. Make sure you know the lines you will be speaking, and also the words to the songs- we will be teaching you the music in the first week back.

Remember, the script may not include lots of lines for you, as there are 60 children in Year 4 and everyone needed a part to play! However, there will be lots of extra acting, singing and dancing, as you will see when we start to rehearse. The script does not include all of the things that will happen in the play! You will have lots of opportunities to show off your wonderful talents!

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Easter play- it was wonderful! We had lots of lovely comments and compliments about the production. Everyone agreed that it was the best Easter play yet!

Well done children- you worked hard and performed so well- you should all be very proud of yourselves. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did.

GOOD NEWS!

The time has nearly come... after many weeks of learning lines, making costumes, designing props, singing and rehearsing, we will perform our Easter Play on Thursday.

We will perform for the school in the morning, then for families, parents and carers in the afternoon. If your family are coming to watch, they need to be at school for 2pm. The play will begin at 2:15pm.

Easter Play Costumes

It will soon be time to perform our Easter play! Our production of 'Easter Children' will be performed on Tuesday 26th March. We now need to organise our costumes! All the children in Year 3 will need a green tunic or toga (remembering that this is not a play set in modern times- so nothing modern please!) and the children in Year 4 have all been given a picture of what their costume needs to look like. If you need any help, or if you cannot provide a costume, for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can help! The Roman soldiers and guards will have their costumes provided by the school.
