Good Friday

 Source: holycrossnyc

Today is Good Friday.

Today we remember the day that Jesus was crucified. It is a sad and serious day when we do not have special treats; some families might fast or avoid meat and the church will have no flowers and the statues might be covered. Today we observe the Stations of the Cross and we will hear the story of the Passion.

Maundy Thursday

Today is Maundy Thursday.

Today is the first day of the Triduum, when we remember the Last Supper. During the Last Supper, Jesus shared a meal with his disciples and then washed their feet.

Good News!

Source: Easter Sayings

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Easter play- it was wonderful! We had lots of lovely comments and compliments about the production. Everyone agreed that it was the best Easter play yet!

Well done children- you worked hard and performed so well- you should all be very proud of yourselves. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did.

Thank you to all of the adults who helped us at school and thank you to parents, carers, friends and families who helped to make the excellent costumes and came to watch and support the Middle School.

Have a fantastic Easter!

Congratulations Abel!

Congratulations to Abel, who found out last week that his 500 word story has been put through to the next round of the BBC 500 Word Story competition!

Over 118,000 children entered the competition and Abel's story has been picked - with just 3,500 others, to go through to the next stage of the competition. Very well done Abel!

If anyone else has heard that their story has gone through to round 2, let me know!
